Akanyaburunga is a nonprofit organization registered in Burundi with a mission to revive, preserve, and promote Burundian cultural heritage. We believe in the power of language to shape identity, foster pride, and strengthen communities.

Global Objective
Promote Burundian culture in general and the Kirundi language in particular through innovative and educational opportunities.
Specific Objectives
- Promote quality education based on Burundian culture.
- Promote the Kirundi language through writing, research, events, and reading.
- Disseminate and promote Burundian cultural values through new information and communication technologies.
- Raise awareness among Burundians to be proud of their identity and rich culture.
- Advocate for the achievement of these goals.
